POLYNESIAN TATTOOS IN SPAIN!

Casa Asia is hosting a Festival of Asia and the Pacific Oct. 10, 11 & 12 in Barcelona, then the 20th through the 25th in Madrid. Two Maori tattooists, Ben Te Hau and Nehe will be tattooing there, and I'll be tattooing & presenting seminars at the Barcelona event. Several films on Polynesian tattoo will be shown as well. The musical group, Te Vaka will also be performing. See http://www.festivalasia.com/

TATTOOS ON THE WEB

Our friend Sandra & the crew at her shop are interviewed about tattoo and body art in Ibiza, Spain. See http://www.space-ibiza.com/news/news.php?id=195

Tattooist, Ni Powell has done a GREAT addition to his website covering the recent developments in the revival of the Tongan tattoo. Check out http://tongan_tattoo.tripod.com/TonganTattoo/id9.html

The Tattoo conference that recently took place in Wellington has a good website at http://www.vuw.ac.nz/tatau/

There's some really impressive work on Trevor Marshall's website: http://oceanictattoo.com/default.htm

PACIFIC WEBSITES

Check out Charting the Pacific, a Radio Australia website, for a look at the customs, culture and conditions of the Pacific. http://www.abc.net.au/ra/pacific/

Jane's Oceania is an excellent site with news and cultural information, as well as an amazing list of links. http://www.janeresture.com/index.htm

A very good website for resources on Polynesia is http://coombs.anu.edu.au/WWWVLPacific/VLPolynesia.html

TATTOO SCHEDULE

Oct 9th - 15th Barcelona, Spain-- Pacific Asia Festival

Nov. 1st - Nov. 14th Honolulu
Nov. 17th - 25th San Bruno/SF area
Nov. 28th - Dec. 13th Livermore/SF area

If you are interested in an appointment during the Nov/Dec trip, the best thing to do is get signed up. Instructions are on my website at http://tattootraditions.alohaworld.com/tattootraditions/policy.htm

I do give priority in scheduling according to the date of your deposit, so it's best to sign up soon if you are serious. This trip will fill quickly. There have been enough early sign-ups that I have extended my stay 1 week, so don't snooze!

Now here's the tricky part-- I am largely unavailable by phone or e-mail until I return from Europe in early November. After November 1st, I can be contacted at home: (808) 734-8677.

PLEASE NOTE: I e-mail when I am home in Honolulu only, and I will return from 2 months travel to at least 1500 e-mails. Therefore it is better to phone after my return Nov 1st. I do set aside 2 weeks prior to every CA trip to work with clients on their art & get everyone scheduled, so please contact me shortly after Nov 1st.

Aloha!!
Tricia
