Tattoo News - November 2002
ON THE WEB
A brief, but informative & accurate site on Hawaiian tattoo is at http://www.coffeetimes.com/tattoos.htm
For Tahitian tattooing, see http://www.tahiti1.com/en/indentity/tattoo.htm Some of the other links here are worth exploring as well. Check out http://www.tahiti1.com/legends/legend.htm to see some of Bobby Holcomb's paintings inspired by traditional Tahitian legends. A good design source is http://www.jorditattoo.pf/anglais/tattoo/tattoo.htm
ON THE BIG ISLAND
I'll be giving a seminar entitled A Tattoo Tour of Polynesia on November 7th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the ballroom of the King Kamehameha Hotel in Kona. This is sponsored by the Pacific Asian Affairs Council and the AKA Kona Education Center. If you've seen the posters on the Big Isl. that say it's Nov. 18th, don't believe it! It is the 7th. It was a typo. Please help spread the word!
