Tattoo News - January 2013

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and I wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous new year!


An article on Tattoo Honolulu, the exhibit now on at the Honolulu Museum of Art (through Jan 27th) is in Skin & Ink magazine. A good site with loads of interesting Pacific resources is posted by ANU Pacific Studies at A wide range of cultures and topics are included here.  It's fun to browse! I found a fair amount on Papuan and Burmese tattooing, but not a lot from other Pacific cultures.

The Pitt Rivers Museum has a good virtual exhibition online featuring various forms of body art
