As you read this 23 Pacific countries have artists and performers at the Festival of Pacific Arts in the Solomon Arts. It is an amazing event! http://www.festivalofpacificarts.com/ There is a LIVE STREAM link, but it’s only functional periodically, it seems. The newly merged Honolulu Academy of Art and the Contemporary Museum--now The Honolulu Museum-is hosting a major exhibition titled Honolulu Tattoo. The exhibition and my work is included in a feature article in The Office of Hawaiian Affairs monthly publication, Ka Wai Ola—see http://issuu.com/kawaiola/docs/kwo0712_web/15  KITV also aired a nice news piece now archived online at http://bit.ly/McH2eS. There are numerous events taking place, including two lectures on July 30th and August 5th-- both at 7:30 pm. The 30th is a Tattoo Tour of Polynesia and the 5th is the Tattoo Revival in Polynesia. The NGV (National Gallery of Victoria) in Melbourne also has an upcoming tattoo exhibition.
