The Easter Island Foundation (EIF) was initially started in order to open a library on the island that would be accessible to Islanders. Since that time, the EIF has expanded their scope to research in the greater Pacific. They publish a number of books on Pacific history and culture, as well as the Rapa Nui Journal with news from the island.  Also, their online Moai Sightings is fun!
