Tattoo News - August/September 2014
Te Ara, The Encyclopedia of New Zealand has a good site dedicated to Ta Moko, Maori tattooing. See http://www.teara.govt.nz/en/ta-moko-maori-tattooing/page-1
Te Papa Curator, Sean Mallon has written a nice piece on tattooed Samoan MMA fighters with some gorgeous photos.
The Musée du Quai Branly in Paris has a major exhibition on tattoo running through October. The New York Times did a nice article at http://www.nytimes.com/2014/05/09/arts/international/capturing-the-spirit-of-the-tattoo.html?emc=eta1&_r=0
The museum website is http://www.quaibranly.fr/en/programmation/exhibitions/currently/tattooists-tattooed.html
Quite a few other blogs and sites have reviews of the show: https://www.mysciencework.com/news/11378/tattoos-at-the-museum-paris-musee-du-quai-branly-reconciles-art-ethnology and http://beautifulbizarre.net/2014/05/13/tattooists-tattooed-quai-branly-museum// also http://sangbleu.com/2014/06/03/review-tatoueurs-et-tatoues-at-quai-branly-museum/
